earl grey simple syrup
this is so simple i feel like i'm shorting you with this recipe. use it to smother your scones with, or you can put it on pancakes in the morning. either way you are going to love this one.
ingredients:
1 cup of infused tea
1 cup of sugar
directions:
use what is left after the infusion between the saskatoons and the earl grey tea, if you have just made the scones. substitute this for the water.
in a small saucepan, bring the sugar and tea infusion to a boil; simmer until the sugar is dissolved, around 3 minutes. Remove from the heat and let cool completely.
i love the way it looks so i use a clean empty glass dressing bottle to store it in. it will keep for up to a month in the fridge.
enjoy!
